Resident Volunteer Bec G’day mate! Hi, my name is Bec and I am a 21 year old chick from Melbourne, Australia. I have been involved in guiding for nearly seventeen years when I started as a five year old Gumnut guide. I am a leader of a Dolphin guide unit and I am extremely excited and proud to have been given this amazing opportunity to work as a Resident Volunteer at Pax Lodge.

Meeting and becoming friends with different people from all over the world is what I am looking forward to the most. I can’t wait to discover the beauty and history of the UK and Europe.

So Yun Kim Hello. My name is So Yun Kim and I am from Korea!! I am 23 years old in Korean age, 21 years old in English age. Currently, I am University student and study English literature. I graduated Art Middle school and High school, and I played piano when I was in middle and high school. Other people said I am introverted when they first see me, but soon after they know their impression was wrong. I like activities such as Girl Scouts and I like to walk with my puppy and listen and play music.
I am young leader of Girl Scouts of Korea and I belong to a Catholic Association. Catholic Girl Scouts have not only girls but boys as members. We meet every week regularly and do many activities. I've been a leader for 2 years. I am really excited about life at Pax Lodge and London! I'm sure that it will be great time for me.

Kay Guest Services Volunteer: Conference Room Hello, Kay here.  I’m from Duluth, Minnesota, USA.  I’ve been involved in Scouting for many years as a Brownie Scout and Leader.  I am married with 3 grown daughters and recently retired to accept this wonderful opportunity at Pax Lodge.

I was thrilled to come to London and to be able to get to know Scouts and Guides from all over the world.  I plan to bring back stories of my adventures to share with Scouts so that they will be inspired to consider this great opportunity.

Maribeth, Resident Volunteer, USAHey, Everyone! My name is Maribeth, and I am from St. Augustine, FL, USA. I am 22 years old and recently graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Elementary Education. The town I am from is a small one, so living in London is going to be quite an experience for me. I think living in the city is definitely going to add new perspective to my life. I have been involved in Girl Scouting since I became a Brownie at the age of 6. I earned the two highest awards in Girl Scouting and decided to become a Lifetime Member when I graduated from high school. Girl Scouts has always been a passion of mine. I believe it can significantly impact one’s life. I know that I would not be who I am today if it were not for the experiences and people I have met through Scouting. I applied to Pax Lodge because I wanted to meet people from all over the world, and I thought it would be an amazing way to spend the semester between college and finding a teaching job. It is also a way for me to share my love of Scouting with anyone who walks through the doors. I hope to leave my mark on Pax Lodge as I know it will change my life forever!

I study the University of Economy in Prague, programme Political sciences. I am leader of troop of water (sea) girl scouts. I am going to be a resident volunteer here at Pax Lodge for 2 and half months. I came here, because I would like to meet with people from all over the world with common concern – and it is scouting. Pax Lodge is really very friendly place with lot of great girls which are now my new family. London is the city which never sleeps and where you always find something new and fantastic. Don’t hesitate and visit us, because it is the second best place in the world (after my home).

Kelcey, Resident Volunteer, USAHi everyone. My name is Kelcey and I am from Burbank, California in the United States. I am 21 years old and super excited to be here in London. Just a bit about myself, I love music, reading, baking, and spending time with my friends. I just graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara in June. I received my BA in Sociology and Communications and I hope to further my education in the coming years.

Currently, I am volunteering here at Pax Lodge until the end of October and I am absolutely thrilled to have this opportunity to travel and meet lots of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from all over the world. I have been a Girl Scout since the age of 5 when I started as a Daisy and now 16 years later, I still love this movement! At home, I am still actively involved with Scouting, often volunteering with my neighbor’s Brownie troop. Ever since my trip to Pax Lodge in 2005, I had looked forward to the time when I could be a volunteer here and now here I am.  I hope to meet lots of you soon. I love to chat with visitors and guests! Come visit Pax Lodge and see what London has to offer!
